Visit from Author Sam Gayton
The fabulous Sam Gayton, author of The Last Zoo and many more books came along to meet some of our Year 7 students and talk about his creative process.
Sam talked through his strategies for creating stories and characters, and we used the ‘What if” technique to generate ideas and Dali’s Cadavre Exquis to develop amazing characters. One of our students volunteered to help draw a character that was crowdsourced from the students. It turned out to be excellent.
Needless to say, every one of Sam’s books in our library has been booked out.
