The Rights Respecting Schools Award recognises achievement in putting the UN Convention on the Right of the Child (CRC) at the heart of a school's practice to improve wellbeing and help all children and young people realise their potential. The Award is based on principles of equality, dignity, respect, non-discrimination and participation.
Through the hard work of our Student Parliament, Brompton Academy has achieved the Bronze (first step) in this Award. This involved a whole-school review of our practices which incorporated student and staff practices and perspectives. The Student Parliament then had to devise an action plan to address our main areas for development which is now being implemented as part of our work towards the Silver Award.
