Year 8 brothers, Silas and Seb, are very grateful to Brompton Academy’s Sports Department for allowing them access to the Academy’s rowing machines for a week.
Silas and Seb are part of a team, from all over the country, raising funds for a Kent Scouts Antarctica project, by clocking up 1,500km. The boys took part in an 8 hour launch event, rowing alongside the famous James Caid lifeboat, in which the great polar explorer Earnest Shackleton and his team made the epic journey of the same distance 100 years ago.
