Term 2 saw the launch of a newly formed table tennis team at Brompton Academy.
The table tennis team demonstrated amazing resilience and dedication, training extremely hard for the Kent Schools Team event. With a squad made up of both boys and girls from Year 7 and 8, all students were excellent role models. This is the first time that Brompton Academy have ever entered this event. Both teams secured great results with the girls gaining 2nd place in the competition, and the boys producing wins against more experienced players.
Students are now training hard for the upcoming Kent Schools Individuals Tournament, where we are hoping for some great results.
The Brompton PE Department are also excited to announce a brand-new project launching in 2020 – The Brompton Table Tennis Academy. This academy will be aimed at students who are looking to improve their ability in table tennis. They will receive coaching from qualified coaches and have the opportunity to play on brand new specialist equipment.
