As part of the new Mini School structure which will be coming into effect from September 2021, numerous exciting opportunities will be open to all Brompton Academy students.
The Mini School Council will be inviting Year 9, 10 and 11 students to apply to be a member. One student from each Personal Tutoring group will be chosen to represent the student voices of not only their year group but also those of the others in their Mini School. Successful students will have the opportunity to play a key role in forming the future direction of the Academy, in addition to gaining valuable leadership, personal growth and development opportunities, an insight into the political nature of an organisation, and also enhance their CV for job applications and future career paths.
What exactly will students be doing?
Students will be assisting their Mini School with completing tasks involving the ‘Carbon Footprint’ challenge to become a greener school, organising and assisting their Mini School with fundraising activities, developing a garden project, acting as a student voice to feed back to both staff and other year groups, and contributing to and creating a termly student newsletter that recognises the contributions of students within their Mini School.
Using their UKAT emails, students are invited to email Mr Grimes or Miss Stevens for further information, or to ask any questions:
