It was an epic adventures when 22 Year 10 BTEC Sport students travelled to Aberdovey in Wales to complete an adventurous activity, at The Outward Bound Trust. The aim of the trip was to raise aspirations and to push comfort zones. We were very lucky that Henry Schein, a long-term supporter of the trip, was yet again able to fund a significant amount towards it.
The week was action packed and full of new experiences. Students had the opportunity to try gorge walking, scrambling, canoeing, high challenges, camping and even managed to summit three mountains in one day. The students were amazing and showed fantastic levels of resilience, teamwork, and respect. It was great to see the confidence levels of the students grow throughout the week and their ability to reflect maturely on their experiences was excellent.
A big thank you to Henry Schein who sponsored the trip, Outward Bound Aberdovey who planned such an incredible week, and a massive thank you to the students and staff who made the trip such a memorable experience.
